    <title>Employment Relationship and Management Control of Labour Process</title>
    <abstract>This article examines the nature of employment relationship and management control over the labour process. The purpose of the article is to examine the main attributes of the employment relationship and why management must exercise control over the employees. It discussed the conflicting views expressed by the three conventional perspectives regarding the employment relationship. The overall objective is to provide critical overview of managerial strategies and theories regarding labour control. The article traces the root of management right to manage. The significance of the contract of employment, managerial prerogative and the master servant relationship are discussed. Other interactive issues such as the limitations on managerial powers of labour control are also given prominence. The views expressed in this article are useful to developing management strategies that will ensure organisational efficiency in both private and public sectors</abstract>
